Knowledge is power

Many realize discrimination is wrong, but most do not realize the inequalities LGBT face in their daily lives. You can help by understanding how the LGBT population is impacted, and then educating your peers through a variety of methods.

There are many ways you can help educate:

  • Organize a panel discussion.
  • Write an Op-Ed in your local newspaper.
  • Host a film screening of a film that highlights the effects of LGBT discrimination (e.g., Milk, Prayers for Bobby).
  • Share our Facebook page so others can learn more about LGBT issues.

Understand the issues

Visit our Know the Issues section to learn about each way the LGBT population is affected by discrimination.
