What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an easy way for you to stay up to date on information important to you - automatically. Instead of checking in on your favorite websites to see if they've posted a new article or feature, those new items will belivered to you via RSS. These links will be listed on a single page and will lead you back to the original web page. Having them in one place allows you to sift through headlines and summaries from multiple websites quickly and conveniently.

The RSS feature is powered by software that retrieves "feeds" in real time from websites that you've specified. You can access the articles through a news reader that's easily downloaded and installed; or, you can use an existing, web-based news reader to receive your RSS links. Some examples are Google Reader, My Yahoo!, NewsGator and Bloglines).

EFS offers RSS feeds for the topics listed above free of charge. ESF uses RSS 2.0. Please note that ESF is not responsible for the content of external internet sites.
